BERG trampolines delivered to Carndonagh and north Inishowen

Carndonagh, Carn Domhnach, had 2,768 people at Census 2022, and Moville, on Lough Foyle, had 1,390. No national road reaches this far: the R238 loops the peninsula through both towns and the R240 runs from Carndonagh to Quigley's Point. North again is Malin Head, the most northerly point in Ireland, where Met Éireann has a weather station.

Carndonagh and Moville are both named on our delivery list. We sell online and deliver by courier, on a pallet with Donegal Groupage. St Johnston to Carndonagh is about 52 km by road.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How windy is north Inishowen, really?+

Met Éireann's table of weather records lists Malin Head for the highest gust recorded in Ireland in six of the twelve months, including 181 km/h on 16 September 1961. It also says gales blow on more than 50 days a year at northern coastal stations such as Malin Head, against fewer than 2 at some inland places. Plan for wind from the first day.

Which anchor kit should I order for a garden in Inishowen?+

We sell two: Trampoline Anchors, 4 Pack with Straps and Universal Trampoline Anchors (8). One has straps that can be tightened again and the other gives more fixing points. BERG's own caution applies here more than anywhere: even an anchor set may not withstand strong gusts, so anchors are one part of the job and storm preparation is the other.

What do I do when a storm is forecast?+

Follow BERG: take the padding and the safety net off, make sure the trampoline is anchored, and check the anchors when the storm has passed. BERG also suggests placing a trampoline beside a fence or wall that breaks the wind, and says not to jump in strong wind.

Would an in-ground trampoline be the better choice out here?+

On an exposed or coastal site we suggest considering one. A FlatGround sits level with the lawn and an InGround leaves only a low edge, so both catch far less wind than a trampoline on legs. The groundwork is done by an installer, who checks drainage and the ground itself before quoting you.

Does the pallet lorry come as far as Malin and Greencastle?+

Yes. We deliver across Inishowen with Donegal Groupage. Pallet lorries are bigger than parcel vans, so tell us when you order if the house is down a narrow road, past a low bridge or at the end of a long unpaved lane.
